Days till Election
Chris Peterson knows that Utah’s future depends on strong rural communities. The pandemic has shown the strength of Utah’s communities but it’s also highlighted some issues where elected officials have fallen short. Chis will make sure farmers and rural workers who lift up Utah have the resources they need to thrive during the pandemic and beyond COVID-19. A Peterson-Brown administration will make sure that every Utahn has access to the PPE, rapid testing, and primary care they need. Chris will work to bring universal broadband access to Utah to help folks work and learn remotely during the pandemic.
Beyond COVID-19, Chris will support educational opportunities, meatpacking co-ops, and right-to-repair legislation for Utah’s farmers and ranchers. Chris will also lead Utah towards energy independence, massive job creation, and a clean air future with investments in wind, solar, and geothermal energy. Utah’s economic security, food security, and energy security are directly tied to rural economic development. Chris will protect the resources and opportunity of rural Utah for generations to come.
