KUTV/UtahPolicy.com poll gives Peterson 10 point margin over closest Democratic Party rival
Salt Lake City, Utah — The Peterson for Governor Campaign leads a six-person Democratic field for Utah governor, according to a new poll.
Thirty-eight percent of likely Democratic primary voters support Peterson according to a survey conducted by Y2 Analytics for UtahPolicy.com and KUTV2 News. With a crowded field, the poll placed Peterson ten points ahead of his closest competitor.
“With two weeks to go until the Democratic Party’s State convention, it is encouraging to see that our campaign’s message promoting practical solutions and public service is resonating with our base,” said Peterson. “Utahns are ready to put partisanship aside in solving the COVID-19 crisis and addressing challenges like educational opportunity, health care affordability, environmental stewardship, and fairness in the marketplace.”
The survey inquired who likely Democratic primary voters would vote for if a primary election were held today.
Y2 conducted the survey from March 21-30, 2020. The survey sample included 167 likely Democratic primary voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 7.6 percent.
