Governor Herbert and Lt. Governor Cox,

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 provides the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture authority to approve state agency plans for temporary emergency food benefits during the coronavirus pandemic. Right now thousands of Utahns are out of work and many families are struggling to buy groceries. Unfortunately, Utah has decided NOT to request approximately 50 million dollars of this available money to feed our at-risk children.

We are calling on you to immediately apply for and administer the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer funds without further delay.

Thank you for your public service.
